Linking Words into a Single Gloss

Last Update 4 months ago

In agglutinative languages, a single gloss can correspond to multiple words in Hebrew or Greek. To account for this, link the words together before entering a gloss. In the Reader's Bible, the reader will be notified of which words combine together into the single gloss.

Linking Words

To link words together, first select all of the words that make up the gloss. Then select the Link Words option from the toolbar at the top of the page. Now you can enter the gloss that corresponds to all of those words combined. Note that any glosses approved for those words will be lost when linked together.

Unliking Words

To unlink words that were previously linked, select the input for the gloss, and then select the Unlink Words option in the toolbar at the top of the page. Those words will now be unlinked and you can enter individual glosses again. Note that the gloss for the linked words will be lost when unlinked.
